The Hamlet Golf & Country Club shines bright at The Tradition...
The 3rd annual "Tradition" had it all, a fantastic conditioned golf course, immaculate weather, incredible food and most of all, wonderful golf. 48 2-man teams started the competition Friday morning and after a series of five 9-hole matches, 9 flight winners progressed to a playoff starting on hole #14 to determine the overall winner.
Six of the nine teams teams were eliminated on the first playoff hole, leaving three teams to battle it out in a single elimination. Ultimately it was the team of Phil Sparacino and his guest Mike McGurk who outlasted the team of Joe Bavaro and Carl Neuhaus on the third playoff hole to capture the title.
