Golf Course Update

As many of you are aware, we have finished the third stage of our fairway renovation project.  The final seeding phase was completed on Wednesday and all signs point to it being very successful.  Now, we hope for terrific weather and to literally "watch the grass grow."

Additionally, we completed our greens aerification on Tuesday.  All greens have been cleared, top dressed and readied for play.  We are cutting and rolling the greens today in anticipation for the weekend.

For the next 4-6 weeks it is very important that all members are reminded of some key issues...

To ensure that we maintain optimal growing conditions, cart traffic is NOT permitted on the fairways for any reason.  NO EXCEPTIONS!  Members who chose to disregard this condition of play will lose cart privileges until further notice.

You are allowed to play from the fairways.  You may walk on them, take a pull cart on them and play on them.  As always, we ask that you fill in your divots with the seed mix.  Do not replace a divot of dead grass.

The fairway conditions will be a bit different than what we had gotten used to over the past two weeks.  Now that the seed is down, it is vital that we water the fairways to keep them wet.  You will see that your shots will not get the generous roll that you had become accustomed to over the past two weeks.  To compensate, we will have the tee locations play a bit shorter than usual to off set this condition.

To help you navigate your way around the course, there are signs on each hole in various areas that will remind you not to drive on the fairways.  Additionally, you will see more rope than ever blocking off the fairways and directing all cart traffic in the appropriate direction.

As we all look forward to lush, healthy fairways, we appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.

See you at the club!
