2016 Hamlet Cup Results

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  I believe someone famous once penned those words and could have been describing the change in weather during both days of the Hamlet Cup held this past Saturday and Sunday.




Members who participated in our member / member stroke play event were greeted to sunny skies, a slight breeze and warm temperatures during Saturday's opening round.  The near perfect weather provided for optimum scoring conditions, resulting in some low scores.  However Sunday was a bit different.  High winds, cloudy skies, a hint of rain and colder temperatures made conditions much more difficult.




Participation for our first major golf event of the season was the highest in recent years.  54 teams competed in 3 flights in the Men's division while the ladies had 10 teams competing in 2 flights.  When the weekend was over, the following member teams faired best in the harsher conditions on Sunday to win their respective flights and secure their crystal trophies at the end of the season.




A special thanks must go out to the golf course maintenance staff.  Thank you to Kevin, Kyle and their entire crew who had the golf course in wonderful condition for the event.
