Club Championship Opening Weekend

What a weekend of golf at The Hamlet!  A record number of members began play this past weekend in hopes of becoming a 2016 Hamlet Golf Club Champion.

The event began Saturday morning with members competing in five different flights, each containing between 20 - 25 players, in a stroke play format.  Members would compete in a two day aggregate competition to see who advanced to next weekend's match play.

Round two on Sunday was threatened by inclement weather but the golf gods saw fit to allow us to complete the second round of stroke play with out any weather interruptions.

After two days of stroke play, each flight was narrowed down to the top 8 players who will compete next Saturday in match play.  The results are listed below with the flight, seeding, matchups and qualifying scores for each member.

We encourage all of our members to come out and support your friends and fellow members next weekend as they continue their pursuit of becoming the next Club Champion.  Due to the continuation of the club championship, open play for members not participating in the event will not be available until later in the morning on both Saturday and Sunday.

Please contact the golf pro shop if you have any questions or require assistance with tee times or further information about the event.

See you at the club,
Vic
