IT'S A GIRL!!

Kelly and I are happy to announce the arrival of our daughter, Kaylie.  Early this past Saturday morning, Kaylie Alexa Romano decided to make a surprise grand entrance.  Friday evening I got the call from Kelly that her water unexpectedly broke and 12 hours later, Kaylie was born into the world as a 5lb 4oz baby girl.

Kaylie was born 6 1/2 weeks premature and has had to deal with a few complications along the way.  Some of these we learned about prior to her birth and other areas of concerns stem mostly from her prematurity and her stage of development.  I like to believe that we need to be patient and to be strong in order to deal with each challenge as they come.


Kelly and I have been in the hospital since Friday evening and Kelly was just released last night.  Kaylie however, has been and will continue to stay in the NICU at Southside Hospital.  If all goes well, God willing, for only the next couple weeks.


I will be at the club in a limited capacity over the next week or so while I try and take care of my family.  I thank you for your understanding during my absence from the club and promise to take care of any and all issues that may need my attention in due time.


I greatly appreciate the well wishes and congratulatory texts and emails that we have received from my Hamlet family.  It is truly a comfort to know that we have been in the thoughts and prayers of so many of you.
