I can not thank everyone enough for the continued support and well wishes for my daughter Kaylie. Ever since she was born, many of you have shown a great interest in the health and well being for my daughter as she has had to overcome various health concerns. It is truly humbling and it has meant the world to me.
As most of you know, Kaylie was born with an abnormality in one of her kidney's that we have had to watch closely since birth. This condition has caused her kidney to be enlarged and due to this abnormality, in some rare instances, a blockage called a ureterocele has also developed into her bladder. This past Friday, she underwent surgery to try and remove this blockage which in turn would "decompress" the kidney and allow for it and the bladder to function properly.
While the procedure itself was a success in that they were able to open up the blockage and drain the kidney, unfortunately, a second surgery will be necessary based on the size of the cyst and its location in and around the bladder. We were told going in that this "less invasive" procedure would be a 50/50 shot, so the initial diagnosis doesn't come as a surprise. Our next step is to have some follow up tests in about a month and take it from there.

It's hard to believe that Kaylie is 4 months old today and she is a happy, smiling baby doing everything that a little one at her age should do, including going on random crying sprees that seem to never end...but obviously do with her resting comfortably in her parents arms with a big smile on her face.
Thanks again to all of you for taking an interest in my daughter and on behalf of Kaylie, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a happy and healthy New Year.
Warmest regards,
Vic
