Congratulations to Team Hamlet who finished 2nd at the annual ClubCorp My Community Firestone Pro-Am on April 29-May 1 at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
The event featured teams from clubs throughout the entire Mid-Atlantic and North regions of ClubCorp properties. The two day multi format tournament was played on Firestone Country Club's West Course and its world famous South Course.
Day one on the South Course featured four 2 person teams from each club in a best ball format. The pairings for the first round were Victor Romano/Richie Eisner, Larry Maglione/Steve Neary, Robert Rusche/Howie Stein & Carl Simone/John Simone. After counting scores from the top 3 two man teams from each club, Hamlet's score of 209 placed them in 6th place heading into the second day of play.
Day two was played on the West Course with each team counting 2 low gross and 4 low net scores of the eight players. Hamlet's total of 437 was the second best of the day and good enough to move the team up four places for their second place finish in the tournament.
