GHIN Handicap Notice
This notice is intended for all of our new members that had an active GHIN Handicap number with Island Hills CC. When Island Hills closed for the season, all members of that club immediately became inactive. This means that you will not be able to look up any handicap information online through the handicap lookup function on MGAgolf.org or GHIN.com.
Do not be alarmed!!! No harm will come to you or your handicap index :)
Your current GHIN number and score history is intact but it must be transferred over to our system at The Hamlet to become viewable again online. Here's what you need to know...
- You must call the golf shop at (631)864-9048 and give us your existing GHIN number
- We will add you to our club roster at The Hamlet and you will immediately become "active"
- Your handicap index will say "NH" until the first revision on April 1st however, you will be able to view your score history for your most recent handicap trend ("playing indicator")
- You will be billed for the 2016 GHIN service in April on your member account
Once again, this notice is ONLY for our new members who join us from Island Hills. Our existing members and our new members who have joined us from another club should still be active in the system.
As a note, all members who wish to participate in any club golf event, tournament or league MUST have an active GHIN handicap with a minimum of 2 scores posted in 2016 prior to the start of any such event.
