Many golfers do not realize that golf is an athletic sport. We have many body parts moving in seemingly unnatural motions and great speeds that require balance, precision and coordination. Unfortunately, most members believe that they can show up less than 10 minutes prior to their tee time, maybe hit 5 drivers and then go to the first tee.
So it is not that uncommon to see many poor tee shots and even more comments about tight, sore or injured body parts before the round has a chance to even get started. We all need to prepare and at a base minimum, we need to get our bodies warmed up in at least the most basic manner to allow for better performance.
Who wouldn't want an extra 5 - 10 yards from only 5 minutes worth of warm-up?
Please read the article, "The Science Behind A Golf Warm Up" from the Titleist Performance Institute on the benefits of a simple warm up and how it relates to extra distance.
